 All information is kept private and confidential within encrypted files. Only the minimum information, required by law, is stored. In line with our ethical framework and as prescribed by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, we keep client session notes, assessment and contact details. Six years after our last session, all of these documents are destroyed. As we will communicate by email and telephone, some electronic communications are stored, however, apart from contact details, these are deleted regularly. Should there ever be a breach of confidentiality or privacy, we will follow the protocol set out by the ICO (Information Commissions Office).
